Absolutely! While I love a general interest pub with 30,000 followers, when it comes to the Boost Nomination Program, I'm way more likely to recruit a brand new modern architecture pub edited by an architecture grad student who's recruiting their classmates and colleagues to submit stories. Yes, new publications do need to mature for a bit before joining the program (we need to see several months of quality stories from a range of qualified writers), but the follower count matters WAY less than the topical niche, quality stories, and experienced writers.
