First, remember that nominators are just one way stories get Boosted (our internal curators are Boosting all day), and that Boosting is just one way that stories get distributed across Medium.

That said -- I agree with you, and that's part of why I'm growing the program as quickly as I can! Currently, the goal is to open it up more publicly as part of the Medium Partner Program next year.
