Hey, John. The publications linked in this post are not an exhaustive list -- there are over 60 publications, including several focused on art, literature, history, and philosophy.

And YES to objectivity, but the author still needs to make it clear how they're uniquely positioned to be sharing this story. Are they a researcher who's got deep esoteric perspectives? We as readers need to understand that. Are they an armchair enthusiast with decades of geeky autodidactic perspectives? As readers, we want to know! The goal here here isn't subjectivity, it's humanity.

As for your final question: if you've been Boosted several times, you're doing something right. Our distribution guidelines are just that: guidelines. Ultimately, the craft of curation is a deeply human, fluid art. We can create guidelines, but there are never going to be hard and fast rules with writing. That's part of the magic that attracts so many of us to become writers.
