Hi, Thomas! I know you and I talked about this last fall, and I want to reiterate what I said then: At this time, we are not building programs intended to support writers or editors treating Medium as a full-time job.

Yes, we want folks in the Medium Partner Program (which will eventually include nominators) to be compensated... but the days of Medium marketing our programs as a way to make it a full-time living are over.

I know this isn't what you or other folks may want to hear, but I think it's very important to be completely honest about the realities of what we're doing, so that everyone has the information they to make educated decisions.

What Medium is doing won't be a fit for some writers & editors, and that's ok. The priority for me is being clear about what we're doing so that my fellow writers and editors have the information they need to make informed choices about what works for them.
