I agree that memoir is what generally calls to me. Part of how I learn to trust a writer is through them sharing their personal experiences... messiness and all!

And I HOPE that we're we're collectively reaching the place of being more sophisticated about how we understand content creators' and their lives. Sometimes, even when we KNOW that instagram (or any social media) lies, it's still tempting to believe the lie... and believe that somehow other folks have it better or less messy than us.
