Oh, no. Mentioning that Medium supported her growth as a writer would in no way be a disqualifier. "Meta" is stuff more like "5 hacks to triple your Medium readership in 5 days!!!!!" or "How I made $10k from Medium with these three simple tricks." Stuff like that, where the whole point of the story is telling people how to use Medium.
(The really frustrating part about meta is how much of it is bad advice by ill-informed scammers who put the posts behind the paywall, so the author is profiting from writers trying to learn... by teaching them stuff that is often completely wrong and often the exact opposite of what will actually benefit the writers. It's hard to watch.)
