This is the way. Have you heard the term "sleep divorce"? While I love partnership, I don't think I'll ever share a bedroom again. I see it as a form of accountability: I know I'm a light sleeper. That's my responsibility to manage, not anyone else's to accommodate. My new partner has sleep apnea and I was instantly just like "cool, so we'll sleep separately!" They were a little disappointed and baffled, but eventually understood that it was an act of love.
